How do you charge for consultancy engagements?
For clearly defined engagements, a technology audit, a build-vs-buy analysis, a vendor RFP process, we charge a fixed fee scoped to deliverables. For ongoing advisory arrangements, we offer monthly retainers with defined scope. We don't bill by the hour for open-ended engagements because it creates the wrong incentive structure.
Can you help us write a technology RFP?
Yes. We regularly help organisations write RFPs for technology procurement: defining functional and non-functional requirements, structuring evaluation criteria, and running the supplier engagement process. Good RFPs save months of back-and-forth and produce better vendor responses.
Do you implement the strategies you recommend?
We can. If you want a single partner to both advise and execute, we can move from strategy to implementation within Afriq Silicon. If you prefer to use different vendors for strategy and execution, that's fine too, we design our recommendations to be implementable by any competent engineering team.
